U.S. Government Agencies
The Olin Libraries have been a member of the Federal Depository Library Program since 1906. The West Campus Library Collection includes the majority of the System’s U.S. documents in print, and they are shelved in Superintendent of Documents (SuDocs) class order. (Eventually the remainder of the documents housed in Olin Library will be moved to West Campus). It should be noted that the Washington University Law School Library is also a Depository Library, and their collection is maintained separately.
Since the early 1990’s, the documents collection is recorded in the Library Catalog, which should be consulted first. Older documents were cataloged inconsistently or not at all. Therefore, a research may find the following listing of publications by Department or Agency useful in determining a given publication’s availability. This index was compiled and corrected by David Straight, Sarah Robins, Marissa Alvarez,Heather Hustson, and Barbara Rehkop.
