Locating Official Records

Bound volumes of UN Official Records are shelved at the West Campus Library by author in order of United Nations session and year or years of the session. ex: United Nations General Assembly Official Records 1st Session 1946.

Official Records are given a document series symbol by the issuing body and consist of a leading element such as A/ which stands for the general assembly. For example, in document series symbol: A/45/2 ---- A = General Assembly, 45 = 45th session, 2 = 2nd general main document. Other secondary elements include /INF/ = informations series, /L = limited distribution, and /CN/ = commission.
