Classes

The Department of Special Collections hosts on the order of 70+ classes per year. The Mendle Classroom, located within the department on the Danforth Campus, can be configured to accommodate seminars, lecture-style presentations, or small groups at multiple study stations. The format is flexible: we encourage faculty or instructors to select the materials they would like to present in a classroom setting, or the Special Collections staff can assist in selecting and introducing materials. We are happy to bring out materials for single class visits or to put them on internal reserve for consultation in the department's reading room during its normal hours of operation (M-F, 8:30am--5:00pm).

To make arrangements for a class visit or other study opportunities, contact the department at spec@wumail.wustl.edu, or call us at (314) 934-5495. Please provide your name, the name of the class, a desired date and time for your visit, information about the sorts of materials you'd like to have available, the approximate number of attendees, and whether you'll require a data projector. We'll be back in touch when we've checked on classroom availability. The classroom is heavily used, so be sure to reserve early.
