Mozart and Beethoven First and Early Editions

A collection of some 300 Mozart and Beethoven scores in first and early editions, part of a collection built by the eminet British musicologist, Alan Tyson, was purchased the Gaylord Music Library during the fall of 1998.

To celebrate this acquistion, an exhibition was mounted in Olin Library and a recital was performed on October 29, 1999. At the recital Prof. Hugh Macdonald delivered some remarks and reminiscences.

In additional, Christine Farmer wrote an article published on October 28, 1999 for the Washington University Record.
