Requesting Books to be Paged or Recalled
Is this item checked out? If so, request the item from MOBIUS (when a copy is available) instead of recalling the library’s copy. MOBIUS items arrive sooner than recalled items. Click here to search the MOBIUS catalog. ILLiad is also available to request items not available in our library or in MOBIUS.
Books from Washington University Libraries may be paged or recalled online using the same procedures. To request books online, first create a PIN number in the My Catalog function of the catalog.
Once you have created a PIN number, you will be able to request books directly from the Library Catalog. When you have found the book that you want in the catalog, choose the 'Request' button at the top or bottom of the page to request it. You will be asked for the following information: your name, your Washington University ID number, your PIN, and the location where you would like to pick up the book. After you choose the 'Submit Above Information' button, you will be told whether your request has been accepted.
If the book is checked out, it will be recalled. If it is not checked out, Circulation staff will search for the book and notify you when it is found.

If a book is not available from the Washington University Libraries' Catalog, you can request it from the MOBIUS Catalog or Interlibrary Loan.
