Alternative: Biology Library News is a blog version of the Biology Library News and New Books List. In addition to getting anything new whenever you wish, this allows you to add public comments and questions as you are reading items.

A nice feature of the new book lists on the web is that you can use the "find or search" feature of your web browser to do a keyword search on new books. Frequently folks want to find a book on "xxx" or by "xxx" that they saw "last month sometime" on the new book shelf. Searching in the entire catalog does not always work efficiently.

About the New Book Shelf: New books, videotapes, review serials, etc., are displayed each Friday. They are kept on the New Books Shelf for one week for browsing. Put your name on the date due slip of any item that you would like to check out. You will be notified when the item is available, or, if you are first on the list, you may check it out the next Friday.
