About the WU Libraries Website
The Washington University Libraries website (http://library.wustl.edu) is provided as a service to the students, faculty, and staff of Washington University. It is a collaborative effort of many Libraries staff members. The website:
- organizes and presents electronic information resources such as the online catalog, databases, and full-text sources such as electronic journals;
- provides information about the locations, policies, and services of the Libraries at Washington University;
- allows you to 'do business' with the Libraries through various online forms.
Privacy Statement
The Libraries have a Privacy Statement about what data we collect about our website users, and what we do with that information.
Off-campus Access to Restricted Resources
Most of the databases and electronic journals linked from the Libraries website are licensed by the Libraries for use by current Washington University students, faculty, and staff. Access to these resources is primarily controlled by IP address; in most cases the Libraries have licensed access from all Washington University campuses (128.252.*.*). Access to these licensed resources from off-campus, or from non-WU Internet Service Providers, is restricted to current Washington University students, faculty, and staff, as required by the terms of the licenses the Libraries have signed. Please see Access to Restricted Resources from Outside the WU Libraries for further information and instructions.
